Children's Sunday School - 9:30 am - 10:30 am
Children's classes meet in the Education Building, most easily accessed from the courtyard by the back parking lot entrance. Preschool (3-5 Years) - Room 110 Early Elementary (Kinder - 1st Grade) - Room 202 Upper Elementary (2nd - 5th grade) - Room 203
All Children's classes are based on Bible Study lessons from the Old and New Testaments. Preschool Classes use the Rock Solid Curriculum which promotes fun while it reinforces the faith learning told in the Bible story, provides age appropriate activities and also provides a take-home activity. Children learn how their lessons apply to their lives. Within the hour, children have opportunities for interaction, crafts, even snack time. Young children are given time for independent play; our young elementary children manage small responsibilities and our middle elementary engage in thoughtful dialog and action.
Elementary Students use the Live B.I.G. study which helps children see, hear and live their Belief In God.
Short video segments bring faith-filled, high-energy excitement to your children. Help your children come to know the love of God through Jesus in a place they want to be. Help them live out their belief in God in their everyday lives. Dream B.I.G. and bring it to life with Live B.I.G., a DVD-based Sunday school resource designed to excite and enrich your children's spiritual lives by bringing their everyday real world experience into Sunday school.
Children's Church - during 10:50 worship hour
Children are invited to take part of our 10:50 Worship Hour during which Pastor Marilyn Meeker-Williams gathers children to share a lesson with them. Following the Children’s Message, the children (3 years – 3rd grade) are excused to join our adults and youth in story time and crafts. The lesson plans loosely follow the lectionary text, so that children and parents will often hear from the same text.
Children are returned to the sanctuary to share communion with their families. On Sundays when communion is not served, parents can retrieve their children from Room 103 of the main building.
Childcare services during Worship Service are available for infants up to Pre-K. Pagers are available.
Children of all ages are also welcome to remain in the Sanctuary with their parents. Parents can determine which situation works best for their family.
